HOW TO USE "FACILITY CHEMICAL SEARCH" FUNCTION
The E-Plan Portal provides the following chemical search functions:
- Search for a specific chemical in a specific county, zip code and/or state
- Search for all fixed facilities in an area that houses a specific chemical
- Search for all fixed facilities in an area that has Extremely Hazardous Substances (EHS)
- Search for a chemical using a NAICS code or CAS number
Here are some examples you may try:
Example 1: Search for all Tier II facility records that are located in zip code 76520.
- Log in to E-Plan using UserID = demo-im and password = training.
- Click the "Facility Chemical Search" option in the left pane. The Chemical In Facility Search page will appear.
- Enter and select the following parameters:
- Zip: 76520
- Filing Type: Tier2
- Filing Year: All
- Click the "Search" button. The Facility Search Result screen will appear.
Example 2: Search for all Tier II facilities filed in reporting year 2021 that store more than 500 pounds of Chlorine.
- Log in to E-Plan using UserID = demo-im and password = training.
- Click the "Facility Chemical Search" option in the left pane. The Chemical In Facility Search page will appear.
- Enter and select the following parameters:
- Chemical: Chlorine
- Quantity Greater Than Value in Pounds: 500
- Filing Type: Tier2
- Filing Year: 2021
- Click the "Search" button. The Facility Search Result screen will appear.
Example 3: Search for all Tier II facilities filed in reporting year 2021 that store at least one EHS.
- Click the "Facility Chemical Search" option in the left pane. The Chemical In Facility Search page will appear.
- Enter and select the following parameters:
- EHS: Checked
- Filing Type: Tier2
- Filing Year: 2021
- Click the "Search" button. The Facility Search Result screen will appear.
Example 4: Search for facilities that store chemical with CAS number 75-21-8 in reporting year 2021.
- Click the "Facility Chemical Search" option in the left pane. The Chemical In Facility Search page will appear.
- Enter and select the following parameters:
- CAS: 75-21-8
- Filing Type: Tier2
- Filing Year: 2021
- Click the "Search" button. The Facility Search Result screen will appear.
- Click on the facility name to open the Facility Information page and view the chemical with CAS number 75-21-8.
Example 5: Search for facilities that store chemical with NAICS code 111110 Soybean Farming in reporting year 2021.
- Click the "Facility Chemical Search" option in the left pane. The Chemical In Facility Search page will appear.
- Enter and select the following parameters:
- Filing Type: Tier2
- Filing Year: 2021
- NAICS Code: 111110
- Click the "Search" button. The Facility Search Result screen will appear.
- Click on the facility name to open the Facility Information page and verify the reported NAICS Code is 111110.
